Zero Connections and no balance in wallet (pinned sticky did not work)

My wallet (Windows) is reporting zero connections and the wallet is showing no balance after Poloniex said the transaction was successful.

I attempted the "zero connection fix" sticky at the top of the Tech Support thread, which didn't work out.

- The path to the Vericoin folder on my PC is "C:\Program Files (x86)\VeriCoin"
- There was no "%appdata%" folder, so I created one and put the vericoin.conf file in it: "C:\Program Files (x86)\VeriCoin\%appdata%\vericoin.conf"
- Restarted the wallet and no change

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

While the instruction for fixing this issue are complete, they're written in a way that requries you to have above normal knowledge of computer operations.

The folder your looking for is actually located under your user directory


if you navigate to your user directory in File Explorer and then add the \appdata to the file path, it will show you the folder. Normally this folder is hidden.
